Spinnin' Records Pop-up store 2017

WHAT IS THE SPINNIN’ RECORDS POPUP STORE?

After a huge success last year, we returned to ADE with our very own Popup Store. Located in the middle of Amsterdam at the trendy ‘9 straatjes’ area, the store was up and running from October 18 to 22 and was the main base for Spinnin’ during Amsterdam Dance Event.

GOAL

Spinnin’ Records wanted to create one, central place during Amsterdam Dance Event from where we could operate and organize all our activities. Activities included were showcasing and selling our merchandise, organizing Meet & Greets with DJ’s for the fans, set up exciting games where fans could win prizes, and showcase our brand partnerships.

IDEA

Amsterdam Dance Event is the biggest global gathering of Dance Music professionals and fans in the world, attracting 395.000 visitors from over 90 countries in the span of a week in 2017. ADE is both a conference where Dance Music Professionals gather from all over the world and the biggest Global Dance Festival taking place throughout Amsterdam. ADE's festival program covers the whole spectrum of electronic subgenres, with over 2,500 artists performing in 140 of Amsterdam's finest music and nightlife spaces.

ADE is the place to be for brands that want to be active and relevant to the Dance Music target group aging 15-30 years old. Spinnin’ Records is at the epicenter of ADE, offering a large range of opportunities for brands to reach this target audience. Reaching the target audience is done by Spinnin’ Records by combining online with offline. Spinnin’ uses online to reach a very large audience of more than 35 million fans with the campaign, and offline to create awareness and by being relevant and active with your brand for all people attending ADE in 2018.

During ADE, the Popup Store was the place to be for Spinnin’ activities. Located at the trendy and very popular ‘9 straatjes’ area, it was the main Spinnin’ base during ADE. Our partners Sony and Gazelle were heavily present in the store, giving the store visitors a chance of getting to know the brands. We sold our very own Spinnin’ Records merchandise, launched our new SR99 merchandise collection, organized Meet & Greets with Spinnin’s DJ’s and did Demo Drops with Spinnin’ NEXT artists Dastic, Mike Williams, Dante Klein, Curbi, Throttle, Mesto, and Trobi. Next to that we also organized lots of exciting new Spinnin’ features, including day rentals of the one-of-a-kind Spinnin’ by Gazelle bike.

Something really popular was the “Guess The Track” game we set up on a Sony Display, where visitors could guess the track that was being played. If they had guessed the tracks correctly, they had a chance to win a Sony Speaker.

ADE also marked the launch of our new merchandise collection: SR99. SR99 tells a success story of nearly 18 years by paying tribute to the rich history of Spinnin' Records through a unique and distinctive collection with the slogan: “looking back while moving forward”. Check out the collection here.

On the Saturday, Don Diablo took over the Popup Store for the day to engage with his fans. He had Meet & Greets and presented his brand-new HEXAGON merchandise line. An extremely successful and fun day!
