Madison Mars x Lucas & Steve go 'Lunar'
Brand new collab is ready for take off
After delivering one of 2017's festival gems with 'Stardust', Dutch duo Lucas & Steve and Estonia's finest Madison Mars have joined forces again to deliver an early 2019 dance anthem - this time they go 'Lunar'.
DJ support is already strong, including the likes of Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Afrojack, Nicky Romero, Jay Hardway and Firebeatz as well as Felix Jaehn, Lost Frequencies and Deepend. And now, the track is officially ready for take off on Spinnin' Records.
It's been a long time coming, with Lucas & Steve already playing this tune in their live performances since last year's festival season. To critical acclaim, we might say, as this high energy tune with its fierce synth stabs and upwinding drums is bound to light up every dancefloor it hits.
Just like with 'Stardust', both acts seem to bring out the best in each other here, working up raw beats alongside infectious melodies, from sweet, enchanting bells to overwhelming chords. 'Lunar' is the missing link between these artists, currently making impressive steps in their careers, bringing the undeniable Madison Mars energy together with Lucas & Steve's trademark feelgood vibes - all packed in impeccable production.
Or as Madison Mars puts it:
"'Lunar' is a very high energy peak time track that fits perfectly in our sets and gets the crowd going every time. We like our tracks melodic and this is a perfect blend of melodies and bouncy drops, just what we need to kick off this exciting new year!"
"Music from outer space" — that's how Madison Mars, a new highlight on the electronic music scene, describes his sound. Taking off massively in 2015 with his debut single 'Theme O' on Don Diablo's HEXAGON imprint, he has quickly proven his status of a new star to watch for with a series of exciting, boldly produced dance tracks. This included the massively popular records 'Milky Way' 'Atom', 'Shuffle Shuttle' and last year's 'All They Wanna Be', all together racking up millions of Spotify streams as well as widespread DJ support.
Madison Mars is currently working on new music and collabs, and is set to travel the world in 2019 - just like fellow act Lucas & Steve making sure the new year will exceed last year's highlights.
Lucas & Steve
Lucas & Steve have been around the block for years already, known as one of dance music's biggest tastemakers. Being responsible for quite some festival crowdpleasers the guys made it big with many festival and streaming hits, including 2017's widely acclaimed single 'Up Till Dawn (On The Move)', turning into one of summer 2017 most favored tunes, counting over 30 million streams by now.
Last year the guys reached another peak with much praised performances at festivals all over the world, from Miami Music Week and their return to Tomorrowland's mainstage to gigs at Mysteryland, touring China, Sensation Jakarta and of course the Amsterdam Dance Event, where they also hosted their own soldout event Skyline Sessions.
In the meantime, they kept on delivering party gems as steady as the clock. From club tracks like 'Source' and their 'Skyline Worldwide' EP to pop hits like 'I Could Be Wrong' (featuring R&B singer Brandy), 'You Don't Have To Like It' (together with Janieck) and recent hit record 'Where Have You Gone (Anywhere)'.
With 'Lunar', the guys kick off an ambitious new year, including a full Asia tour coming up soon, followed by exciting new milestones and high profile performances. For sure, Lucas & Steve are ready for 2019 in full force!
