Live Your Life

Tony Junior & Steff da Campo

Two artists who were already famed for knowing when to play the right music at the right moment have teamed up for what might easily be called a hopeful new year’s wish. ‘Live Your Life’ is exactly the positive tune you’d want to hear these days, and it’s no surprise longtime tastemakers Tony Junior and Steff Da Campo are behind it. Backed by years of experience, a need for something meaningful and inspiring gospel vibes, the Dutch DJ/producers deliver nothing less than a blissful anthem for 2020’s sorrow - out now on Spinnin’ Records.

It’s quite the teamup taking place here. Tony Junior is known as one of Holland’s bad boys of dance music. He’s released a string of highly acclaimed party tunes, ranging from big room and harder styled tracks (remember his smash hit Tiësto collab ‘Get Down’?) to house and pop records. Throughout the years his name became more renowned, not only for his exhilarating stage shows, but also his solo releases and collabs with the likes of Steve Aoki, DVBBS, Blasterjaxx and Kura.

And then there’s Steff Da Campo, one of Holland's most tastemaking artists for many years already. He’s considered a household name in the scene, praised for his DJ skills as well as his productional style, that varies from funky beats to raw electro house and poppy, soulful sounds. This was underlined by various groundbreaking records, hugely supported by many DJ’s and influential playlists - leading to twelve #1 Beatport hits and the #12 spot on last year’s Top 101 Producers list by 1001tracklists. Recently, he took his sound next level with widely supported tracks like ‘Renegade’, the Dave Crusher collab ‘Why Boy’ and last year’s outburst of soulful house vibes: ‘In & Out Of My Life’.

So, here’s two undeniable forces teaming up to create something special. ‘Live Your Life’ is what you’d expect from them, a rousing piece of dance music that leans heavily on its house rhythm and bass lines, but just as much on an inspiring gospel choir performing over warm organ chords. The record’s steady beats nicely build into the crescendos, lifting you sky high with its hopeful words and sparks of euphoria - making this is a track you’ll feel in both body and soul.

It’s a wonderful message delivered here: ‘live your life, be free’. As if both artists want to let you know all is ok, no worries about the future, just enjoy every moment, starting with this blissful piece of music, better times will follow soon.
