Chicken Face
Two of dance music’s most renowned firestarters have teamed up for a sturdy piece of bass house, bringing back the party to the dancefloor. Leave it in the capable hands of Dutch duo Oomloud and Uzbekistan artist BADMOOOD to ignite things again with ‘Chicken Face’, a sweet rolling tune featuring cool oldschool synth chords, mesmerizing vocal samples and a deep, dark club vibe. This will lift the spirits for sure, out now on Spinnin’ Records.
It’s a sweet collab taking place here. On the one side it’s Oomloud, rising stars of contemporary dance music who’ve been making serious moves since their widely acclaimed debut release ‘Tic Toc’ together with Bingo Players, back in 2017. Since then, they’ve steadily conquered the global dance scene, performing ambitious gigs and further developing their unique bouncy and clubby sound.
Recently, this resulted in massively supported and millions streaming tracks like ‘Platinum’ (2019), last year’s teamup with Bingo Players, ‘Brighter Days’, and again working with Bingo Players on this year’s popular single ‘Touch & Go’.
On the other side of this promising collab we see BADMOOOD, an Uzbekistan born, US residing DJ/producer, known to rock many different genres like G-house, bass house and trap. Sharing his action packed tunes since the mid-zeroes, he’s received praise from an international crowd, last year leading to the release of his debut album ‘Telephone’.
So, what happens when two of these eager tastemakers share their powers? You get a tune that breathes action, a tasty rolling piece of bass house, filled with exciting hooks and cool vocal samples.
‘Chicken Face’ brings together the four-to-the-floor groove of house music, together with its classic synth chords and raw edgy production making it a true DJ weapon. Add to this the powerful bass lines, electro sound and in-your-face spoken word vocals, and you end up with a record that takes you right back to the heyday of bass house - produced in a refreshed 2021 style.
Leave it up to Oomloud and BADMOOOD to bring back dance back to the floor. If anything, these guys have provided the upcoming season with a brand new rocking tune. A tune we couldn’t wait to hear, and is sure to get the crowd back in a frenzy again - let’s make this ‘Chicken Face’ together!
“I started the track during the covid pandemic and the goal was to bring back some real rave energy also as the lyrics says: ‘I don’t know I’m relaxed’. I really wanted to make people feel at ease again, and bring the party energy. Then after sending the track to Hysteria, I got linked with Oomloud for the collab and these guys brought the track to a whole new level of party mode!” – says BADMOOD

Myself
Returning to his trademark ‘speed house’ sound, Polish DJ/producer Sikdope presents his widely anticipated new single ‘Myself’. It’s the record many of his fans have been waiting for, bringing powerful four-to-the-floor kicks, pitched vocals and deep, dark basslines - all mixed together in Sikdope’s characteristic upbeat vibe. One of dance music’s maestro’s is back on fire, ready for action with this blast of a tune - out now on Spinnin’ Records.
If recent years have proven anything, it's Sikdope's quality to inject the worldwide dance scene with unforgettable gems. From 2014’s breakthrough ‘Unicorn Zombie Apocalypse’ (together with Borgore), to 2018’s 'Lost In The Blue' and 'Badder', 2019’s 'Raindrops' and the widely popular Tiësto collab 'My Whistle', he's by now a name to be reckoned with, renowned for his trademark 'speed house' sound and innovative production skills.
Adding more ammunition to his Sik Tunes (also known as a popular playlist including Sikdope’s most popular tracks & personal favorites - check it out!) the Polish beat smith continued to deliver exciting tracks in recent months. Releases like ‘Lights’, ‘Ballin’ and ‘Brave’ also saw him experiment with trap, big room and drum ’n bass, uncovering how his production talent keeps evolving to this day.
‘Myself’ continues on this road. While returning to his famed speed house sound with rushed beats and cool pulsating bass chords, there’s also lots of deeper layers to be discovered here. Warm synth chords accompany pitched vocal samples, providing the track with a moody rave vibe, enhanced by a powerful melody that keeps the rhythm supple and energetic.
Sikdope knows his classics, and seems to have built a brand new bridge between vintage house music and contemporary rave. From its tempting basslines, relentless drops and upwinding percussion, ‘Myself’ couldn’t be more aptly titled. This is an artist at full swing, producing a record that will keep the festival eager crowd dancing for the rest of the year.
During the pandemic I got really inspired with Analog synths, especially Moog, and I started to get creative with them. That's how I came up with the main drop sound of “Myself." The whole tune was built around a catchy female vocal phrase "I can be myself with you". The song is really deep and melodic, yet the second part of the drop brings back memories of good old festival vibes.

In the Sun
Danish DJ/producer Caius delivers a delicate piece of deep house with ‘In The Sun’. Built around tender guitar chords, sultry vocals and warm, spacious sound effects, this is exactly the piece of dreamy dance music to get the summer season started with. Feel the melancholic vibes as Caius brings his contemporary take on early 00’s french house - out now on Spinnin’ Records.
Caius seems like the right guy at the right moment. Already known for producing a unique Indie house sound, with his soul inspired samples, subtle grooves and jazzy chords, his music is made for days in the sun - unique and inspirational.
Already loved in the (Hypem) blogosphere since his earliest releases, Caius made a lasting impression with breakthrough record ‘Your Love’ in 2019. Featuring warm organ chords and temporized beats, the record launched Caius to even wider support, receiving acclaim from fans, media and fellow artists. With the track currently counting well over 5 million Spotify streams, quite an accomplishment for such a deep tune, the Danish tastemaker has continued to deliver heart-warming records, standing out from his contemporaries with gentle yet amazingly produced tunes.
Following this year’s return to Spinnin’ Records with the airy beats of ‘Sweet Days’, the exclusive sound of Caius now reaches another milestone with brand new single ‘In The Sun’.
If ever, this is the record he was destined to make. Leaning heavy on a series of easy-going guitar licks and a sweltering, soulful vocal, the record delivers a laidback groove drenched in spacious sound effects. Diving deep in reverb and filtered echoes, ‘In The Sun’ aptly resembles the feeling of a searing summer day, as the mood is both relaxed as it is excited.
Some chords in this track appear fuzzy while other parts provide the dance energy of a sun-drenched beach party. Caius might stay close to his trademark jazzy vibes and warm filtered sound, ‘In The Sun’ also underlines the next step in his musical evolution, bringing in a classic house sound that honors some of the Danish producer’s 00’s heroes. He’ll take you right into 2021’s summer with it.
“Before making ‘In The Sun’ I had been contemplating some months about how a contemporary take on French House/Sampled house of the early 00s would sound today. The soulfulness of tracks like Modjo - ‘Lady Hear Me Tonight’ or Roger Sanchez - ‘Another Chance’ is really unmatched to me. But it seemed like the style somewhat died out in the mid 00s, probably due to how hard it is to clear samples. So when I made ‘In The Sun’ it was one of my first attempts of channelling this vision into a production. And like often times when you grasp in the dark something magical just happened completely unintended.” – Caius
