Peru (LUM!X Remix)

One of dance music's most up and coming artists LUM!X has remixed the recent hit 'Peru' by Norwegian DJ/producer Tungevaag. The result is as stunning as you might expect, taking the original's powerful chorus, vocal lines and electronic sounds to a next, future house styled highlight. Another stellar production by the Austrian prodigy - out now on Spinnin' Records.

'Peru' was this year's big new single from Tungevaag, known from powerhouse duo Tungevaag & Raaban, but making a thundering return on solo duty last year with hit single 'Knockout'. With expectations high, the Norwegian DJ/producer did not dissappoint with 'Peru', scoring widespread DJ support and millions of streams with this fully powered big room tune.

And now, the record is back in a blazing remix. It's a fresh version made by none other than LUM!X, another artist that's been making a steady rise since last year. Of course, his claim to fame 'Monster' (a teamup with Eiffel 65's Gabry Ponte) gave him instant fame last year, as well as the follow-up to that he released early 2020, a remake of Iggy Pop's 'The Passenger (LaLaLa)' which by now counts close to 15 million streams on Spotify alone.

In the meantime, he underlined his status as productional prodigy by scoring hits with his remixes. Recently, he did one for Robin Schulz single 'In Your Eyes', which currently counts over 4 million Spotify streams - quite impressive for a remix. Especially when you consider he also delivered popular remixes of Lucas & Steve's 'Perfect' (5 million Spotify streams) and R3hab's 'All Around The World' (1,5 million).

So, you know your record is in good hands when this guy starts remixing. And sure enough, 'Peru' takes on a whole new guise in this LUM!X version. Of course the original already had its massive big room chords, uplifting vocals and addictive melody, which are used here to create a more groovy piece of future house. Featuring warm synths and piano stabs, the punchy elements of the record perfectly balance here with the vocal lines and chord progression. For sure, the energy is still there, but transformed into a brand new DJ weapon that's bound to spark up any (live streamed) show in the next few months!

Somebody’s Watching Me

After scoring his biggest hit to date last year with the Afrojack featured single 'Sad', famed Dutch DJ/producer Chico Rose now returns to Spinnin' Records with brand new release 'Somebody's Watching Me'. Teaming up with 71 Digits, the record is a powerful house tune including the vocal samples of the eponymous 1984 pop classic by Rockwell. It's a timeless tune, packed in an addictive dance groove, sure to heat up every DJ set this season - out now on Spinnin' Records.

He's on a roll. Dutch artist Chico Rose has been delivering hit tunes as steady as the clock, often teaming up with mentor Afrojack, which reached a climax last year when the guys released 'Sad', a hit record that by now counts over 31 million Spotify streams and over 3,8 million views on YouTube. The melancholic dance tune seemed to be everywhere last year, whether it was on worldwide radio and everyone's favorite playlists to DJ sets in the guise of countless remix versions.

So, anticipation is high when Chico Rose returns with his official first 2020 single. 'Somebody's Watching Me' sees him team up with the mysterious 71 Digits to rework one of dance music's most favorite vocal samples into a fierce new gem. Originally sung by Michael Jackson, the chorus of Rockwell's same named 80's hit seems to have a magical effect on any dancefloor, and in this version it's no exception.

Chico Rose stylishly captures the uplifting vibe of the vocal lines, not adding heavy synths and over the top effects, but rather carefully dropping a deep house groove, adding sturdy beats and basslines along with moody synth pads. The result is a highly effective dance record, throwing together a fresh production with a timeless vocal line, sure to wow crowds all over the globe.

A worthy follow-up to 'Sad', this new record has already seen early support from the likes of Tiësto, Afrojack, W&W, Nicky Romero, Lucas & Steve, Yves V, R3hab, Showtek and many more.

Artist Info

Chico Rose|
Chico spent years of hard work to make new music. He released his first single ‘Play On’ on Vato Gonzalez' Dirty House Records in 2014. After that, he released tracks on several labels, including Nicky Romero's Protocol Recordings and Afrojack's Wall Recordings. By then well-known DJ's in the scene started supporting Chico's music, including Afrojack who featured Chico in his sets for the last year and even decided to get Chico on his team.

Their collab track ‘The Great Escape’ turned into a huge success and was followed by more teamups. Chico played on some major festivals like Ultra Music Festival (Miami), Tomorrowland (Belgium), EDC (Las Vegas) and Untold festival (Romania). After five successful years under the stage name Ravitez, he recently decided to use his real name (Chico de Reus) and continue making music as Chico Rose, leading to new releases like 'Where Did The Love Go', 'The Bass' and the global hit 'Sad', featuring Afrojack.

The Time Is Now

Boasting over 100 million streams and five chart-topping singles in the past twelve months alone, production powerhouse EDX is clearly an artist still at the very top of his game. With his latest 2020 hit single Adore Me continuing to dominate playlists and airwaves the world over, Switzerland’s most streamed artist now unveils his latest juggernaut cut, 'The Time Is Now'.

EDX’s 'The Time Is Now' cover is yet another jewel in the crown of an already stellar career catalogue. A truly impressive piano house anthem with top line lyrics adapted from Moloko’s iconic year-2000 hit of the same name, EDX continues his unstoppable run of form and reimagines the almost untouchable original as only he knows how, to deliver yet another dance floor bomb of epic proportions.

Speaking about the new single, EDX commented:

"The whole world is going through something truly crazy right now, but if there’s one thing we can rely on to keep spirits high, it’s music. Great music really does have the power to bring people together, especially at a time when everything seems so uncertain. Roisin Murphy and Mark Brydon’s 2000 hit is one of my favourite pop tracks of all time, so it’s an absolute pleasure to introduce my interpretation twenty years on. Really hope you guys enjoy listening to it as much as I did making it, and stay safe out there!”
