Switch
An awesome and long anticipated collab is taking place, as Blasterjaxx and Bassjackers finally join forces for their new banger 'Switch'. Expectations are exceeded here with a blazing tune, featuring heavy kicks, dark chords and strong singalong main melody bursting out into raw synth stabs. Peak time sounds, supported by DJ's like Hardwell, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, W&W, Timmy Trumpet, Afrojack and more.
Blasterjaxx
Dutch duo Blasterjaxx have been on a fast ascending journey from relatively unknown producers to heroes of the current scene in astounding fashion. With a none-more-energetic sound that’s packed to the brim with huge riffs, enormous builds, killer drops and infectious melody, Thom and Idir have taken electronic dance music to new levels, while continuously evolving their sound. With a string of Blasterjaxx originals and remixes for the likes of David Guetta, Armin Van Buuren, Tiësto, Steve Aoki and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, you can imagine how solid their place is at the heart of the global EDM scene, with many millions of plays racking up for their prolific body of work. Launching their own label, event and radio show concept Maxximize has been a major step change in the duo’s career, giving a platform to upcoming as well as more established talents, which soon became one of Beatport’s Top 10 best-selling Big Room labels.
Bassjackers
DJ, Marlon Flohr, and producer, Ralph van Hilst, who together form Bassjackers, are perfectly in sync as a duo. Their opposing personalities – Marlon being the wild one rocking each and every stage they play and Ralph the more cool and collective preferring to shine behind the scene on the producer seat, are a perfect combination for this unique one dj-one producer collaboration. The duo exploded onto the scene and in 2011 their dancefloor bomb ‘Mush Mush’ was picked up by Tiësto and released on his imprint Musical Freedom. This led to a numerous chart-topping bangers and hit collaborations with the likes of Martin Garrix, Afrojack, KSHMR, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Dyro, R3hab and Showtek, to name a few, as well as remixes for A-list artists including Rihanna, Enrique Iglesias, Moby, and Ne-Yo. At the top of their game, Bassjackers continue to tear up stages worldwide and wow crowds along the way.
‘Switch’
“After several years and many many requests, we finally decided that it would be time for a Blasterjaxx x Bassjackers track! We chose for a tune which breaths the atmosphere of the golden years of EDM in 2012 but with the sounds and trends of now. Many different melodies and drops have been in the pipeline but we all agreed that this aggressive pounding ‘four to the floor’ drop should be the thing! We are very pleased and happy with the results we saw after weeks of road testing and the feedback from our fan base.” – Blasterjaxx
"We wanted to make this collab happen for a while. We are both known for our high energy big room sound, not to mention having pretty similar stage names (which often has people accidentally switching our names up… awkward!), it only made sense to make this track together. The track title ‘Switch’ seemed pretty appropriate considering the constant Bassjackers/Blasterjaxx mix up. And even though we’re both big room acts, we each have our own signature sound, which as it turns out mesh really well together. The result? A massive dance floor destroyer of course!!!" - Bassjackers
