Using music by Spinnin’ Records in your social posts legally is super easy, no matter how expert or unfamiliar you are with all the different types of posts on social media. In this small FAQ we’ve gathered the answers to the most common questions to get you acquainted quickly.

WHAT IS THE BENEFIT OF USING MUSIC IN MY SOCIAL MEDIA POSTS?

Music enhances video experience on social media! Upcoming platforms like TikTok are normalizing the habit of people to scroll through social media with sound on and are even creating new trends by utilizing music to strengthen the message of your post.

CAN I USE ANY SPINNIN’ MUSIC IN MY SOCIAL MEDIA POSTS?

Yes! Our whole catalogue is available for usage. Please see the answer above for the correct usage per platform and post type..

ARE THERE CERTAIN SITUATIONS WHERE I’M NOT ALLOWED TO USE SPINNIN’ MUSIC IN MY POST?

The only big exception is in posts for partnerships with other brands. Our music is free and legally usable in personal posts, but please reach out to your contact at Spinnin’ Records first if you’d like to use it in a sponsored post or a partnered post.

HOW MANY SPINNIN’ TRACKS CAN I USE PER POST OR LIVESTREAM?

Please note that there is a maximum of 4 tracks per regular feed post on Facebook and Instagram. For Facebook livestreams the maximum duration is 4 hours.

I’M UNCERTAIN IF I’M USING ONE OF SPINNIN’S SONGS IN THE CORRECT WAY, WHAT DO I DO?

ON WHICH PLATFORMS CAN I USE MUSIC BY SPINNIN’ RECORDS LEGALLY?

Pretty much everywhere! Though, on some it’s easier than others because they have an official music library. Below is a small list of the most common channels and post types:
 
Instagram Stories/Reels: all music is available to legally use in the music library
 
Instagram feed video/IGTV: free to use in a lot of countries, but not worldwide yet. Please reach out to your contact at Spinnin’ Records to make sure your video doesn’t get flagged.
 
Youtube free to use all music in your videos. If you get an unexpected copyright claim on your video, please reach out to your contact at Spinnin’ Records or feel free to send over the URL link to your video before publishing for us to check.
 
TikTok all music is available to legally use in the music library.
 
Facebook feed video free to use in a lot of countries, but not worldwide yet. Please reach out to your contact at Spinnin’ Records to make sure your video doesn’t get flagged.
 
Facebook live free to use in a lot of countries, but not worldwide yet. Please reach out to your contact at Spinnin’ Records to make sure your video doesn’t get flagged.
 
Twitter no music library, but free to use any Spinnin’ music in your videos by editing the track in it.
 
Snapchat all the music from Spinnin’ Records will be added to the music library feature on Snapchat in Q2 of 2021.
