WORLD'S BIGGEST DEMO DROP REPRESENTED BY 124 COUNTRIES!

We are proud to share that we finished the second edition of Spinnin’ Academy XL with success! One of our favourite moments of this project was the World's Biggest Demo Drop - a fifteen hour marathon of connecting A&R and artists to aspiring producers. As a leading record label, we are always looking for new talent to bring into the spotlight. With this project we wanted to reach out to new talented producers, give them a chance to release on Spinnin’ Records & Musical Freedom and kickstart their careers!
During the submission phase we hosted pre-sessions on Discord, resulting in 1,982 demos submitted for the actual competition from 124 countries around the world. That is pretty amazing!
The A&R team and Spinnin’ artists had the hard task of selecting the 15 most standout submissions, which moved onto the next round and were mixed into a DJ set and shared exclusively on Apple Music. The contestants had to get their following on board by getting them to Shazam their track as much as they could while listening to the mix. As the ambassador and our A&R team closely followed the progression of each track they deliberated and eventually picked 2 winners.

The victors of last year’s World's Biggest Demo Drop were Christopher Damas and NuKey, the latter of whom released several tracks on Spinnin’ Records, following their winning track ‘Antidote’.
In addition to the W.B.D.D., Academy XL provides rising producers with everything from production Q&As with artists from the Spinnin’ roster, to online masterclasses and sample packs.
