SPLICE
Splice is the leading platform for music production offering access to millions of the best royalty-free samples, loops, and presets; Rent-to-Own plugins & DAWs. With over a million users, Splice offers its musicians not only samples, plugins and other music tools, but also had a comprehensive blog with producing tips & tricks.

GOAL
Spinnin’ Records and music creation platform Splice joined forces in a first-of-its kind partnership! Spinnin' Records will release sample packs with their major artists as well as genre packs curated by Spinnin's A&R team. Teaming up with Splice is a match made in heaven, as we share the same goal in educating young talent. Spinnin’ Records is known for embracing the bedroom producer since 1999, nurturing talent, kickstarting and extending careers of many DJ’s over the years. By releasing these sample packs we want to provide every Talent Pool producer renowned producers tools to create the next big club banger or streaming hit.

IDEA
After launching our own Spinnin’ BASE plugin, we wanted to dive deeper into the world of producing and providing producers with the tools they need to create the best productions. The most logical step for us to take was to start creating sample packs. Samples are little royalty-free sounds producers can use in their music production.

Sample packs have been on the rise for a while and by teaming up with Splice we had established a very strong combination of marketing tools and a platform to offer the samples. The first sample pack we launched was the Spinnin’ Sounds – Big Room, reason why was our rich history within the iconic Big Room subgenre, and we wanted to drop in with a true bang. After the first genre pack we followed up with tech house, future house, bass house and more are coming soon!

We promoted our sample packs in various ways with teaser videos, tutorials on how to make the best use out of the samples and contests where we challenge our Talent Pool audience to make a track with a sample pack on Spinnin’ Records & Spinnin’ Talent Pool channels.

Next to genre sample packs, we also started working on artist sample packs. The first one we launched together with Sam Feldt who made the ‘Heartfeldt Signature Sounds’, varying from sounds used in his previous productions and sounds from his live band. The artist sample packs received a more detailed marketing treatment, biggest difference being that with the artist packs we made a special video that revolves more about the artist’s story and inspiration, must-have/favorite samples and some tips & tricks.

RESULTS
As this is an ongoing partnership, here are some key statistics we’re proud of:
