Exclusive interview & live music! Please welcome Joe Stone & Ferreck Dawn

Feb 4, 2016

With their new single 'Man Enough' coming up, we asked Joe Stone and Ferreck Dawn to also do a B2B interview session for us. Check it out here, and meanwhile prepare yourself for an exclusive DJ set from the guys, live at Beatport!

Already announced last month when we took a sneak peak at Joe Stone & Ferreck Dawn in the studio, next week their collab single 'Man Enough' is finally out. To warm things up, we asked both DJs to interview each other, giving you an extra inside look into the worlds of both Dutchmen.

Following the interview, we invite you to join the DJs when they perform a live B2B DJ set at the Beatport Studio, together with Bolier, starting 7pm CET

Ok, let's go!

Ferreck Dawn: "Hey Joe. First up, what did you do before you started producing music and DJing?"
Joe Stone: "Hey Ferreck. Well, easy to answer: I was playing keyboard in a band professionally. Then I decided I wanted to focus more on house music, so here I am! And how about you, how long have you been DJing and producing?"

FD: "I've been DJing for about 15 years now. Started off as a hardcore and hardstyle dj playing 160 bpm music haha! Now it's house music I play. Speaking of house music, what is your favorite house track ever? And which producer would you like to do a collab with one day?"
JS: "My favorite house track is definitely Daft Punk with 'One More Time', after all these years it still sounds amazing! And on my collab wish list is definitely Martin Solveig, this guy is genius!"

JS: "As long as we're into talking about favorite stuff, which artists had the most influence on you?"
FD: "In electronic music definitely Joris Voorn and Luciano, non electronic music wise I really like 'black' music as it has so much soul so from guys like Michael Jackson, Ray Charles, BB King to Notorious BIG, Dark Child, The Weeknd, Maxwell and D'Angelo."

FD: "We just finished the video for 'Man Enough', in which we also made a funny cameo. How was it being part of a video for the first time?"
JS: "It was a lot of fun and cold! Looking forward to seeing the full version! I know it was cold for you too haha, so let's not go into that any further. Something else: what has been you best gig up till now?"

FD: "I've had many great gigs but I think our own camping party at Nature One 2008 was special and last year I celebrated my 30th birthday with best friends both in and in front of the DJ booth, a magical night. I also really enjoyed opening for Kylie Minogue at the O2 Arena in London for 20.000 people - I'll never forget that."

'Man Enough' comes out Monday February 8th on Spinnin' Records.
