Exclusive interview: New Dance Music Friday featuring Breathe Carolina

We proudly present the New Dance Music Friday feature, your weekly update on all newly released dance tracks, brought together on one amazing Spotify playlist. Featured this week (among many others): Breathe Carolina!  They are releasing their new single today, provide the list with some musical tips, and tell all about it in this exclusive interview.

"It is the song we are most proud of in our entire music making career", Breathe Carolina already said to Billboard earlier this week, when they premiered the video of their IZII collab 'Echo (Let Go)'.
Well, the track is out now, featured in this week's New Dance Music Friday's playlist on Spotify. We did an exclusive interview with Tommy from Breathe Carolina, who also gave us some cool new tracks to add to the NDMF playlist. 

Hey guys, you just released your new track 'Echo (Let Go)' together with IZII. How did you create this? 
"It was a very smooth process between us and IZII. We had the verses pretty much done and all the vocal stuff but it was REALLY hard for us to get a drop down that we liked because we kept writing stuff that was a bit too hard. When we sent it to IZII he nailed it right away with the drop production and writing, keeping it simple and effective but powerful!"

"About the vocal, we had to fight really hard for it. A lot of people wanted it and it was a very long process, in fact we counted the other day; it took us over 260 emails and 100 phone calls to get it done and right.. It was a long long process but in the end it was worth it because we think its one of the best, if not the best songs we have written!"

What does this record say about your musical evolution as an artist?
"It's a big step for us. Till now we have focused really hard on making stuff more for the stage and the DJs. But a few months ago with the release of our EP 'Sleepless' we started to dive back into our song writing skills, making stories not just big sounds. Of course we have Big tunes coming as well. But songs like 'Echo' are for the everyday listener, we want people to be able to go through a wide range of emotions when listening to Breathe Carolina... Not to mention the help of IZII took this song to a whole new level!"

The track is featured on Spinnin’s New Dance Music Friday playlist. How important is Spotify to you?
"I've been saying it for a wile now that Spotify is the most powerful tool in music. First off the staff and the curators are great people who truly care about artists and want to connect with them on a personal level. But I myself am a FAN because I get to download all my favorite playlists and find new music that I fall in love with.. Not to mention, Spotify and Austin Kramer have been huge supporters of us and they are I believe the main reason we have seen a lot of the success we have this past year. We can not thank them enough."

Which artists should we definitely keep an eye on and add to New Dance Music Friday this week? 
"Man, so many of our friends are killing it right now! But a few that stand out big this week for me are KURA - 'TORA', JUSTICE - 'FIRE', Blasterjaxx & Marnik - 'Heart Stearts To Beat', Hardwell & W&W - 'Get Down', and the Jochen Miller Remix of APEK & CUEBRICK - 'Safe'."
