Exclusive interview: New Dance Music Friday featuring Mike Williams

We proudly present the New Dance Music Friday feature, your weekly update on all newly released dance tracks, brought together on one amazing Spotify playlist. Featured this week (among many others): Mike Williams! He's released his new single ‘Bambini’ and provides the list with some musical tips, and tells all about it in this exclusive interview.
Hey Mike, you just released your new track 'Bambini'. How did you create this?
"Hi! I started this project around June 2016, so the track already exists for a long time. I wanted to make a happy and feelgood track, and I started working on some melodies on the piano. I worked it out behind the computer and after a while I had the idea in mind of 'Bambini'. At that time the track didn’t sound exactly how it is now, I added some cool vocal FX’s and that really worked out well!"
What does this record say about your musical evolution as an artist?
"I always liked to produce melodic music. I play the piano since I was 6 years old and that really has an influence on the way I produce. If a track has a really strong melody it always gives me goosebumps. So with 'Bambini' I tried to do the same."
The track is featured on Spinnin’s New Dance Music Friday playlist. How important is Spotify to you?
"I must say, all my friends already used Spotify far before I started using it! I was a bit late haha.. But now I think it’s really important and really easy to use!"
Which tracks released this week should definitely be added to New Dance Music Friday?
"I really like the new track of Mr. Belt & Wezol, 'Boogie Wonderland’. They really did an amazing job of making something new out of an old classic song! Also, 'Wings' by ARMNHMR is a track I really like! It’s not the typical dance track you would expect from me but it sounds really cool in my opinion! Furthermore I love the CID remix of 'Love On Me' by Galantis, just a track that’s easy to listen to!"
