Exclusive interview: New Dance Music Friday featuring Ummet Ozcan

Featured this week (among many others): Ummet Ozcan!  He's released his new single ‘Bombjack’ this week,  and provides the list with some musical tips, and tells all about it in this exclusive interview.

Hey Ummet, you just released your new track 'Bombjack' featuring Ambush. How did you create this? 
"I was goofing around with a few cool rap samples layered on top of a housey bassline. It actually worked quite good, so I called Ambush and asked him to do a few shoutouts for me." 

"Bombjack is a funny track with a pounding bassline at the lower end and some old fashioned drumsounds like a cowbell and repetitive handclaps to give it more drive. A bit unconventional, but I like that."

What does this record say about your musical evolution as an artist?
"I am constantly trying to re-invent myself, I think that is what every producer should do to make sure we keep evolving."

The track is featured on Spinnin’s New Dance Music Friday playlist. How important is Spotify to you?
"Spotify is our number one outlet. Everyone is on Spotify, so that’s the platform where you should be with your stuff. They provide a great and easy access listening experience and a way to discover new artists and sounds."
