Curbi drops ubercool video for 'Shinai'
Mar 14, 2017
UK artist Curbi recently returned with 2017's ultimate DJ weapon, the stunning 'Shinai'. Played by an impressive amount of DJs already, it's futuristic electro house bound to make waves at the festivals these coming months. And now, the video is out, and it's stunning!
It's quite the success story, the tale of Curbi. Bursting onto the scene in 2015 at the tender age of 16, he provided audiences with some instant dance classics like 'Discharge', 'Rubber' and the Fox Stevenson collab 'Hoohah', all reaching high in the Beatport charts, gaining millions of streams.
By now, Curbi isn't the new kid on the block anymore. His name resembles a modern take on contemporary house music, moving into a more raw, gritty sound that keeps on evolving with every release. 2016 records like '51', 'Triple Six' (released on Tiësto's Musical Freedom label) and 'Red Point' turned into festival favorites, while Curbi himself grew into a full fledged artist - renowned for his high energy DJ performances.
So, he's evolved, and 'Shinai' proves it. Not only it's a cool electro house weapon with which he presents an exciting new side of his sound (supported by loads of DJs including Zedd, Skrillex, Tiësto and Martin Garrix), looking at the video you also see the early astronaut avater turning into a grown up, full fledged man machine.
Yeah, young Curbi has reached an important turning point, and when the first drop hits, you can see it happening in this ubercool video.
