Dutch schools in a battle for High School Takeover party

Apr 5, 2017

Dutch schools are given the chance to win a full High School Takeover later this year. In a collab between Spinnin' Records and bike manufacturer Gazelle, the winner will receive a complete party, including DJ performances by Mike Williams, Curbi, Mesto and Sophie Francis.

Yes, you already heard of this collab before, when we brought you the news of the Spinnin' Bike, made by Gazelle.

Well, now Spinnin' Records and Gazelle are continuing on this with the High School Takeover. For this, high schools in Holland can sign up and start competing in a three-step battle. First, students are given the chance to make a track of their own, which will be judged by Spinnin's A&R team. The winner will perform at the school party.

Secondly, schools compete with a video on Instagram, showing their skills & tricks with a bike. Based on the amount of likes and the verdict of the judges, the best school wins four Spinnin' Bikes!

Finally, schools do a dance battle, sending in videos of their teams dancing to a Spinnin' track - again the amount of likes and the jury's verdict will decide who wins. The winner will perform at the school party and feature in a video of one of Spinnin's upcoming releases.

The school that performs best over these three contests, will win a full High School Takeover party by the end of the year, including everything you need for a decent dance event, from light effects and CO2 cannons to performances by DJs (and Spinnin' Bike ambassadors) Mike Williams, Curbi, Mesto and Sophie Francis.

Schools can sign up for this until May 10th on this contest page (Dutch only). Good luck!
