Join the design contest with Adobe and Lucas & Steve

Adobe, DJ duo Lucas & Steve and Spinnin’ Records present a design contest for students to win the opportunity and experience of a lifetime. In this campaign, students can showcase their talent to the world. The winning cover will adorn the vocal version of the single Where have you gone (Anywhere), which will get a worldwide release the end of September and will be used on all of Lucas & Steve’s channels, such as Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, Soundcloud and YouTube. 

International exposure and glory are just the beginning! The winning designer also receives a fully covered five-day trip for two to the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), the biggest club festival in the world. The winner will get an exclusive invitation to all ADE conferences, creative talks, parties and afterparties. As icing on the musical cake, the winner will be a VIP guest at Skyline Sessions, the massive party hosted by Lucas & Steve themselves. Without a doubt, this will be the trip of a lifetime.

In today’s multichannel deluge, presentation can be almost as important as music. “It’s not just your sound that should be identifiable but also your total branding: visuals, logo and social media,” says Lucas. “It’s about the whole package. This is also huge for the cover of an album or single.” Together with Adobe and Spinnin’ Records, Lucas & Steve invite students to translate their ideas into an outstanding single cover. “Imagine what we want to say with our new record ‘Where Have You Gone (Anywhere)’ and show this on the single cover.

With our music, we share a message and spread energy. It’s important that the design shares this same recognisable feelgood feeling,” Steve advises. The single is inspired by the line ‘anywhere in the world feels like home with you’.

Students can create the single cover with Adobe’s programs and share their design on Behance with the hashtag #AdobeDesignRemix. The winning designer receives a five-day trip for two to ADE complete with all expenses covered, a VIP invitation to the Lucas & Steve hosted Skyline Sessions at ADE, a meet & greet with Lucas & Steve and a golden record of the winning design.
